Players, the Bane of GMs

Two things to share today. One is a great post from LiseFrac/CaptainEcchi about the social obligations of LARPing, primarily written for/about those new to LARPing, with solid advice for what to do when you simply must drop out of a LARP.

The other is a webpage with a slew of short articles about various LARPing topics (primarily theater/freeform style.) I’ve been skimming throught a lot of them- there’s a lot of good stuff here, too much to read in one night. I particularly enjoyed Tony Mitton’s Players are Scum, which was inspired by a panel he ran at Precon that I sorely regretted having to miss.

I've been LARPing for years in all different styles, including both boffer and theater. I love classic LARP but I'm always happy to try something new. I have a sort of "gotta catch 'em all" attitude towards experiencing LARPs.
