Ultimate Ninja Showdown

A couple of days ago, the GMs of G.I. Joe: Metamorphosis, my second Sunday morning LARP at Intercon M, sent around photos taken during the LARP. They came out great. I just wanted to share my favorite, a picture of Jeff Ogorzalek and me.

Snakes Eyes and Storm Shadow: RIVAL NINJAS

So while my costume was last-minute-cobbled-together-what-do-I-have-in-my-closet-that’s-black?, his was pretty much spot-on, made out of a white gi, with the Cobra symbol on his chest. (The peeling red tape on my shoulder was originally the symbol of the Arashikage ninja clan.)

I can’t seem to find a screenshot of the two from the cartoon, but here is one from the comics for reference.

And in case anyone is curious, my last minute ninja mask was just a black t-shirt, tied according to these instructions.

YO JOE!

About Fair Escape

I've been LARPing for years, in all different styles. I love trying out all different styles and genres and formats. I have a sort of "gotta catch 'em all" attitude towards experiencing LARPs. I'm currently serving as a board member of NEIL, as LARP Coordinator for Extracon, and a member of bid com for the British convention Consequences. I was also the coordinator of Festival of the LARPs in 2017, and I'm on staff for NELCO, the first all LARP conference in the US. I've also served as an editor for Game Wrap, NEIL's publication about the art and craft of LARP, and served on Intercon staff in various roles over the years.
